Jeff's schedule has been a bit crazy lately. He gets home right after the kids go to bed, so they haven't seen much of him over the past few weeks. The other night, Chloe made a family out of her panda toys explaining, "This is the Mommy Panda. This is the Daddy Panda. He's at work. This is the baby panda. She misses her daddy." Sweet and sad. Not quite as sad as last year when Harrison asked Jeff, "Daddy, where do you live?"
Today Chloe and I watched an animal planet show on Giant Pandas. Did you know there are less than 1,600 wild pandas left on the planet? Holy endangered species, Batman! Their bamboo forests are being cut down at a rapid rate and there are no longer enough to sustain the pandas. Won't it be sad if there are no longer any pandas left when Chloe grows up?

I'm against using the phrase "laughed out loud", but I really did. So, LOL.
Poor Chloe. (It goes without saying, Poor Eeyore. Lumped in with the pandas. I guess no one noticed he's a donkey.)
Yay! A new Eeyore. But the question on everybody's mind is, "Does he have antlers?"
ahhh, that is so sweet...and sad. Poor Jeff, I bet he is eating his heart out when the kids wonder where daddy lives and that the baby Panda is sad. Hopefully his schedule will settle down for all of you! And hopefully he will get to retire early and you can travel the globe saving the pandas together! That would be a great story - that can be your new writing assignment M. hehehe
Wow, only 1,600!
