Off the Chain

My absolute favorite Christmas tradition is our countdown to Christmas chain. Every December I plan out activities for the kids to do and write each one down on a link in a countdown chain. Sometimes it's as simple as watching a Christmas movie and other times we get to go out and do something fun. Yesterday our activity was going sledding. It turned out to be the worst thing ever to happen to Chloe and the best thing ever to happen to Harrison. Every time he got to the bottom of the hill, he'd yell, "THIS IS AWESOME!"

How fun! We're going to have to invest in some sleds now that we're living in snow country. This will be the first year ever the kids have actually get some use out of their snow gear!

I love sledding! Why did Chloe hate it? how are your kidneys?

We must go sledding when you come, Katy! I made the mistake of letting Chloe go down alone her first time. She let go at the end and fell into the snow. Snow is cold.

My kidneys continue to produce stones and I don't know how to stop it. Booooo.

What awesome pictures! We've found two good sledding hills here - now I'm off to buy some sleds. :) There's supposed to be a huge snowstorm tonight or tomorrow (or both).
It seems like you'd eventually run out of kidney stones, doesn't it? So sorry you have to go through that!

mom-kidney stones are not something you are born with, like eggs.

I love Chloe and her outdoor sensitivity, (it's too windy).
Harrison would love our driveway if he loves sledding. We could have sled down it this morning.

Great pictures! I can feel the fun! Perfect kidney stone joke in Bizarro today. It has a picture of Dumbledore lying in a hospital bed and Harry standing next to him. A doctor is saying "Now that he's passed it, he's free to go home...But no strenuous sorcery for at least a week...And lay off the potion as well." The caption reads, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". Who knew kidney stones could be humorous? :D
