. . . I'm thankful for my family.
I've heard many times in the past few days that the holidays tend to make us want to go "home." North Carolina is my home and it's strange to me to think that my sister Katy is the only member of my family still living there. After our time at the beach, we headed to Katy's and my sister Allyn and her family met us there. Katy was a wonderful host. Could you add 12 people to your house and still make everyone happy and comfortable? Me, neither. She had the kids make gingerbread houses and decorate her Christmas tree. We went from Thanksgiving to Christmas in 5.2 seconds. (Seriously. Jeff fell asleep on her couch for ten minutes and when he woke up, there was a decorated Christmas tree in front of him.) Being in her home reminded me of time with my cousins when I was a kid. (Especially when Helena cried about being locked out of the big girl's room.)

That was so mice seeing them all together like that. It's something we don't get to see often enough.
The three of you look beautiful as well!
Such a lovely family. I LOVE the scarves - they are totally my obsession this season.
Man, that's a lot of good lookin' girls in one post. (the young as well as the younger :) )
I wonder if there are hickeys under those scarves. What kind of "massage" place was that??
Inappropriate, Wendy. I have no idea what you're talking about.
i love you too, man! your posts are beautiful. thanks for making my kids look less raggamuffin in black and white. it was vacation time, right. who combs their hair during vacation?
