After dropping Jeff off at the airport last Sunday night, I felt like we could all use a nice walk. Behind our local library is an interesting place called Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. It's full of plants and animals and beautiful ponds.
Also bunnies. Bunnies who don't care about you.
The kids and I aren't used to spending so much time together.
This is the face I'm usually making at them. They're not used to spending so much time with each other. I have to remind them constantly to stop screeching each other's names.
One of the things I remember most about moving when I was a kid is that my brothers and sisters and I had a chance to become better friends.
I remember feeling very lonely, but knowing that my brothers and sisters were going through the same thing made it easier to bear. It's always nice to know you're not alone.
I hope my kids use this time to become better friends.
I also hope they make some new friends quick because things are getting weird around here.
Soon enough this togetherness will be over and I'll wish I had them confined to one space.
3 Wisecracks:
Ah, togetherness! What a beautiful place to all be together in, even if the bunnies are anti-social.
I'm glad it's not just my kids who are fighting all the time! Good grief to much togetherness:)
What beautiful colors! Your kids are going to be so good for each other. Shared memories of rough times...
