Sum-Sum-Summertime

I haven't had much to write about, lately. We're finally getting settled into a routine. We spend some days at the park (which is usually a disaster). The parks here are amazing! Where are the metal slides of yesteryear that burned my thighs so?
Other days we just hang out at home. I really like this picture because it's a nice representation of all of us. Chloe is wearing a crown and being sheepish, Harrison is in motion, Miles is distressed, and I'm probably explaining to them why they can't do something.
Once we put the older kids to bed, we spend our evenings doing this:

I'm genuinely loving baseball season. They played the All-Star game here a couple of weeks ago. I cried a little.
Here's President Obama practicing his pitching with St. Louis' Albert Pujols.

I am glad that metal slides are gone, but how is it that a plastic slide still burned my daughter? Dumb sun. :) I am glad that you are getting into your routine. Always makes things (slightly) easier. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Is this the event where everyone was so interested in how Obama picked out his jeans?

Yes, it was. Jeff said it was a good thing he didn't see Obama in jeans before he voted for him. Kidding, of course.

He also said it was NOT okay for me to post that double chin picture of him.

He says a lot of things.

most of the time jeff is so quiet. i didn't know obama was a south paw. he has good pitching form. much better than, say, george herbert walker bush.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. We've had fit presidents but never an actual athlete. But back to the slides. Not only did they burn our thighs, they were twice as steep. You got on the top of one of those things and you really did see your life pass before your eyes. The kids today seem to still get a thrill though.
