I'm Thankful for Jeff

My Mom commented on my last post that our family took a week-long trip to the beach the summer before Jeff and I got married.  That was a nice trip and it was fun to have the whole family together, but I remember it more the way Makenzie does.  I remember wishing so badly that I had someone to share this romantic place with.

I also remember that Jeff's family was at a beach a few miles away but Mom wouldn't let me drive to see him because it was raining.  Jeff and I were just friends at the time, but I planned on changing that with our beach encounter.  I was going to casually suggest that we take a walk on the beach and then let one thing lead to another, knwwhatimsayin?  I'm sure if my mother had known my intentions, she wouldn't have been a murderer of love.  We've had plenty of walks on the beach since then and it is much better than walking alone.

I should have taken pictures of us being so in love on the beach, but somehow that didn't happen.  You'll have to settle for pictures of his children being so in love with him on the beach.

Hey, Jeff, remember when you invented Apple Pie Sundae in a Wine Glass?  Thanks for making everything better!

Oh that last picture is gorgeous. I've never done the beach house thing, it sounds right up my alley.

Murderer of Love. He he, one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies.

So you really think I didn't know what you had in mind? You are girl number 5, right? What's more, I was pushing for that relationship too! It's just that it wasn't just raining - it was North Carolina raining, which means you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, and you didn't even know whether to go north or south. I didn't want you to end up in New Jersey.
Good to get rebuttal time.:)
Also, I'm thinking you missed your calling - these pictures are absolutely beautiful!

Weather cannot stop true love. What it can do is delay it.

I am sure that the only reason you didn't mention OUR romantic 'good brit bad brit' trip to the beach I'd because you are finding the right words to describe it? Still in draft form,is it?
I heart you and your beach combers

i am commenting on two posts in one here. these are awesome pictures. i wasn't getting the feel for them on the lcd screen on the camera. jeff's shot is quite perfect and i LOVE all the ones that you got the full reflection of the subjects in the water. that takes precision. the water moves fast.

beaches are romantic in a dirty, itchy sort of way.
