I'm Thankful for My Children

Sometimes I forget how incredibly beautiful the earth is and so I'm grateful that my kids are around to remind me to be amazed by it.

Harrison didn't seem deterred by the cold weather at the beach.  He spent as much time as possible on the sand and in the water.  What's a little hypothermia when you're having fun?

He's the oldest grandchild on Jeff's side of the family which made him seem older, in general.  It blew my mind how mature he was throughout the week.  When did that happen?

Chloe frequently finds ribbons lying in the floor and turns them into her friend for a few days.  As content as she is with inanimate object friends, you can imagine how delighted she was to have actual children to play with.

And even though Emmi never did figure out Chloe's name ("Where's The Girl?"), her cousins seemed to want to be wherever she was.

Miles proved to be his perfectly amiable self.  I believe he decided the ocean is cold and sand is sooooo interesting.

Also, he thinks plastic dinosaurs are delicious.  I think he's delicious.

Thanks, kids, for making life more of an adventure.

Why do you insist on making me cry every day this week? That picture of Chloe is so beautiful. She won't have any character-building photos to post on her future blog. :)

I want to pinch Miles' thighs. And I missed Harrison at my piano recital a few weeks ago. I love your children, too. :)
