Reunited and It Feels So Good

As I mentioned before, Jeff's entire family (minus missionary brother Brian) met us in St. Louis the day we moved in.
Our super fun itinerary included eating, playing in the backyard,

a little Rock Band,
[That's Harrison singing "Bang a Gong." Awesome.]
a trip to the Magic House,
[That grocery store wasn't very realistic. They should have shopping carts with screaming toddlers sitting in them.]
a stop at the arch,

playing at Tower Grove Park,

fun with Grandma and Grandpa,

and lots and lots of bubbles!

It was great to see everyone and have so much help moving into our new house.

I would like to take a moment to honorably mention Jeff's sister, Amy, who drove out with us from Utah and was an enormous help the entire weekend. Sister-in-law-high-five!

Moving Day

Our brilliant plan to drive straight through to Missouri was foiled when Jeff's car battery light started flashing around midnight. We used the Rainier to jump his car every hour, or so, but finally had to stop in Nowheresville, Nebraska to get it repaired.

Jeff's parents and brothers and sister all descended upon our new house to help us move in. This picture sums up moving day.

The Nomads

We moved out of our condo on June 5th but had to stick around town while Jeff finished work. Lucky for us we had some very kind family members who allowed us to invade their homesteads for a few days.

Our first stay was with Jeff's grandparents. I didn't get any pictures of this time. Probably because I was too busy keeping the kids from breaking family heirlooms.

Next we stayed with my sister Nicole's family. Highlights included:
A backyard luau . . .

. . . and Jump On It. Wall to wall trampolines. Brilliant.

Then we headed to Idaho and stayed with my parents where we enjoyed one last trip to the Golden Corrall (EVER),

. . . my Dad's 60th Birthday, [Here he is having the sweetest experience reading his birthday book.]

an appropriate gift from Aunt Jennie,

[Ah, shucks, I can't stay mad at him.]

and quality time with my Grandpa Lee.

Later we headed back to Utah to my cousin's mission farewell. These are my cousins Collin and Megan. Collin just left on a mission to Raleigh, NC. If you see him, show him some love.

I had to say goodbye to my sisters and these goons that day.

It was sad. Mostly because Mom wouldn't give me my baby back, so I had to put the smack down.

[I think this is a good picture of you, Mom. Are we cool, now?)
I miss you guys already. Have a great summer! KIT!

P.S. The morning we left Utah I was up feeding the baby and watching the Today show when a Smith's commercial came on. There I was ten months pregnant and laughing about how much I love grocery shopping. I couldn't leave town fast enough.

Blessing Day

I'm baaaack. We're finally in our new home and I'm connected to the Matrix again. I uploaded a gazillion pictures onto the computer last night. Rather than make this the longest post in history, I'm going to take you on our sentimental journey one moment at a time.

On our last Sunday in Salt Lake, Jeff gave Miles a blessing in church. Only the handsomest of men were allowed to participate.

We loved living near so many family members in Utah. Thanks for joining us on Miles' special day, folks! And thanks, Mom, for the gift of this picture.

I can't believe we're a family of five! What the?
