The Courthouse

The rest of our family reunion took place in Junction, Utah in a building called "The Courthouse."  It used to be an actual courthouse and, in fact, is where Butch Cassidy was tried.  You know, Butch Cassidy?  As in PAUL NEWMAN?

The owners did a really amazing job of renovating it and turning it into a reunion destination.  (See sign above.)  They kept it's courthouse-y charm, though.  Every room was labeled for its original use.  (For example: Jeff's Uncle Mike and Aunt Shelley stayed in the County Jail and his Uncle Gary and Aunt Lisa stayed in the Judges Chambers.  I'll let you analyze that one.)  The actual courtroom had been turned into a game room, but the judges' and witness stands were still there.  The kids loved holding court.
We also loved . . .

The Library,

The two-seater bike,

Giant safe's in weird places,

Team sports,

Enormous bathtubs.

Old bridges,

Hanging out with grandparents,

Getting crafty,

Finding younger and prettier parents,

and taking advantage of the beautiful setting by snapping a family picture.

That place looks AWESOME! Maybe our kids could find younger, prettier parents if we go to there. Just for the vacation, of course.

I never thought I'd have such a strong urge (or any urge for that matter) to go to Junction, Utah. But now I am dreaming of family reunions in a courthouse and sleeping in the county jail. (We all kind of thought the Crenshaws would up here anyway didn't we?)

speaking of being happily situated, miles seems completely at home with his new younger, prettier parents. and what is up with chloe being almost as tall as harrison? that girl shot up.

Seriously that is one beautiful family picture! It should be framed!....What a cool place for a family reunion. Though of that organized craftiness is making me sick! I'm terribly impressed! :)

What the what?! This place is AWESOME! Love the pictures, especially in the great tub. I'm a fan of those, they have the perfect curve in the top for your neck. Did you try it out? Ahhhh....
