We recently had to say goodbye to a member of our family. Jeff's Nissan Sentra has been with us from the beginning, but unfortunately it was too old and weak to make the journey West with us. So please join me in a moment of silence for Jeff's first car. The car he picked me up in when we went on our first date. The car we rode off into the sunset in on the day we got married. The car we brought Harrison and Chloe home from the hospital in.
[Harrison, Jeff, Pops, and the Sentra.]
The car we packed up and drove across the country when we moved from Chapel Hill, NC to Salt Lake City, UT. The car that everyone looked at and said, "You drove THAT across the country?" and we had no idea what they meant because this was our good car. (Not the crappy one Jeff drove to medical school every day.)
The car Jeff drove to work every day for the past five years without a working radio. In the snow. Uphill both ways. The car that flooded every time it rained. The car that Miles always wanted to ride to church in because "Daddy's car is the fastest." (He mistook "loud" for "fast".) A moment, please, for this dependable machine that has been a part of our journey.
Moment's over! Woohoo!

That was an awesome car! And it made it to the end. I was afraid it would die and leave Jeff without wheels those last few weeks in St. Louis. Love the new ride!
Ahhh the memories. Is that another Nissan? It looks hot. Congrats, Jeff!
